Personal Profile
I have over 20 years of experience in fish diseases and have been working at a professional level for fifteen years. After gaining a Fish Studies Diploma at Sparholt College, I worked at a salmon hatchery based in Perthshire where we used intensive recirculation techniques to produce smolts for on growing. Seeking to increase my knowledge I obtained a degree in Aquaculture. After graduating from S.A.C at the University of Aberdeen I started to work with cyprinids, managing the health and welfare of a large fish import business based in the Midlands. Over the years I have gained extensive knowledge into the relationship between fish, pathogen and the environment, diagnosing problems at an early stage and preventing problems occurring, using applied husbandry techniques and promotion of good water quality.
Situated in the midlands I work within a 50 mile perimeter of Birmingham.
